Autorenporträt
Simon Barton, D.Phil. York (1990), became Professor of History at the University of Central Florida in 2017, having previously worked at the University of Exeter from 1993 to 2017. He was one of the most eminent historians of medieval Spain of his generation. He died in December 2017. Robert Portass, D.Phil. Oxon (2011), is Senior Lecturer in Medieval History at the University of Lincoln. He has published extensively on medieval Spanish society, economy and politics, including The Village World of Early Medieval Northern Spain: Local Community and the Land Market (2017).
