Colin Whittington is a former deputy sheriff, founder, and Chief Executive Officer of Recruiting Heroes LLC. Colin started his law enforcement career as a patrol deputy for the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, Virginia's largest, full-service sheriff's office. Within his first two years, he received two Life Saving Awards for two separate incidents. In 2019, the Virginia Sheriff's Association named Colin the Virginia Deputy Sheriff of the Year. Colin was then promoted to Sergeant and was charged with running the recruiting, background investigation, and hiring unit for the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. He supervised a team of recruiters and background investigators. While law enforcement agencies around the nation struggled to attract talent, Colin's team led the agency to a record-low vacancy rate through innovative and strategic recruiting strategies.Colin left law enforcement in 2022 and became the recruiting director for an information technology firm in northern Virginia, where he recruited top talent for positions with the federal government and major corporations. Colin never forgot his brothers and sisters on the Thin Blue Line during this time.
