Linda retired from teaching creative writing, life story, children's literature and Literary Publication which produced the award-winning, The Eloquent Umbrella magazine for Linn-Benton Community College. She taught writing workshops, judges poetry contests for all ages. She gives readings and sponsors poetry events. She was an editor for Calyx Books for 32 years, is former president of the Oregon Poetry Association and is current president of PEN Women in Portland. Linda is a member of Marys Peak Poets, Poetic License, Children's Book Writers, Writing the Wrongs to Rights, part of the Women's March. She plays competitive and cooperative Scrabble and is a fan of dance, gymnastics, art, plays, physics and metaphysics.
