In this work, we are helped by the work of our colleagues and students over the last fifty years of teaching, consulting, writing, and researching. Many of them have been an inspiration and some showed real courage in starting to pursue their learning dreams in their later years. My oldest student began his degree at age 79 and finished at age 83. He went on to complete his master's degree on his 90th birthday. I teach so as to learn.
