Fun, heartwarming and inspiring, Biblical Reflections on Tigger's Whiskers & Other Catastrophes is a delightful arrangement of poetry, humor and Scripture passages that will engage cat lovers, and not-yet cat lovers alike. An ardent animal enthusiast, Johanna Michaelsen has captured in verse her fondness for felines in an entertaining and humorous way, coupling each poem with an offering of Bible passages that align with the theme of each and speak to the deeper spiritual truths our pets can teach us. Smile-inducing pictures throughout the book provide the finishing touches on this eclectic and off-beat work. Johanna's dry wit, humor and wisdom will keep readers smiling and thinking from beginning to end. Autorenporträt
Johanna Michaelsen is a seminary-trained author and lecturer. She is internationally known for her best-selling books, The Beautiful Side of Evil (1982) and Like Lambs to the Slaughter: Your Child and the Occult (1989), which was a final nominee for The Gold Medallion Book Awards in the Christianity and Society category. Although her primary focus has been to train Christians to recognize spiritual deception, she demonstrates in this offering, born from her love of animals and her devotion to the Word of God, that she has not lost what her papa used to refer to as her "girlish sense of humor." Johanna lives in Southern California with her beloved husband of forty-seven years, Randolph; their two cats, Jemimah and Keziah; and their diminutive and ancient Chihuahua, Abigail.
