The Bible tells us to "cling to the Lord your God" (Josh. 23:8, NASB), and to "serve Him, and cling to Him" (Deut. 13:4, NASB). King David said: "My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me" (Ps. 63:8, NASB). These verses help us to understand the need to make God our refuge and our security. We need to stir ourselves up to take hold of God and to cling to Him with our very soul, like King David. Pursuing intimacy with God may seem strange to some, but that is God's will for us-to have a personal relationship with Him.
