Autorenporträt
María Angeles Gallego is researcher at the Instituto de Lenguas y Culturas del Mediterráneo y Oriente Próximo of the Spanish High Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) in Madrid. Her field of expertise is the history and culture of Jews in Islamic territories and, more specifically, medieval Judeo-Arabic. Previously, she has co-edited the bibliography Afghanistan (Brill, 2005) alongside Heather Bleaney and worked as indexer of the Index Islamicus. Heather Bleaney is Editor of Index Islamicus which is compiled at the School of Oriental and African Studies Library, London. She has contributed to a number of publications on the modern Middle East. Pablo García Suárez is an editor of Index Islamicus and translator of modern Arabic literature and journalism into Spanish. He regularly teaches seminars on journalist translation at the Escuela de Traductores de Toledo (Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha).
