Well hello, lovely reader!I'm Katie and it is my absolute honour to introduce you to Big Bear and Little Bear. I want to create beautiful and inclusive books to support people who are trying to navigate the emotional journey we go on when a loved one is diagnosed with dementia. This was inspired by whilst reflecting on my own experience as an eight year old, when my gorgeous Gran was diagnosed with dementia- those experiences no doubt led me to become a a physiotherapist specialising in this condition, which affects more than 55 million people worldwide.When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my animals and my allotment.
