Barbara Fanson is an author and illustrator of 3 other picture books: Shirl the Squirrel Had a Great Fall, Robin Sees a Monster, Shirl the Squirrel Rises to New Heights, as well as Tragedy on the Twenty, historical fiction. She enjoys raising monarchs, hiking, photography, and drawing and lives in Hamilton, Ontario with 7 squirrels, 2 robins, a rabbit, a dashing black cat, and her human family.
