Autorenporträt
Monyetta was born on May 31st, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Her rise to fame began at an early age in her hometown as she embarked upon an entertainment, acting career after graduating from Louisiana Tech with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, and as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Shaw's journey began as a radio personality, introduced by Program Director Michael Tee of Shreveport's 99.7 KMJJ FM, on the acclaimed Daddy Roe Show. Appearing in several films, most notably her pictorial role in 2008's Soul Men, Monyetta rapidly began creating a name for herself. It was her love of acting and industry networking that kept her as a regular at local production sets in Louisiana. Monyetta began to use her public fame as a platform and quickly parlayed her media celebrity to become a positive vessel to promote education, worldwide philanthropy and a commitment to being a role model. Shaw drew national attention with her tireless commitment to her orphanage, Evan Grace Group Angel House in Swaziland, Africa, where she also sponsors 48 children monthly. Her philanthropic ventures and brand continued to flourish as she later focused her energy on pursuing her entrepreneurial dreams. She opened Emerlyn & Ester boutique, published the "Adventures of Maddie" a children's book series, and started the Evan Grace Group, named after the middle names of her two children. Mother, television personality, businesswoman, socialite, published author, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Monyetta continues to show the world why she is such a modern day phenomenon. Her passion for defining happiness, service and family continues to drive every aspect of her brand. "Like every other woman in the world, I have experienced love, success, heartbreak, falling flat on my face and triumph. Through all of those experiences, I wake up every day grateful for the gift of humble grounding, a solid foundation and of course, God's most precious gift-Family. It is those values that I find most important and make me who I am. It is those things that propel me to continue to make all of my dreams, my reality.
