I'd pass out from boredom putting them together, and I can only imagine how mind-numbing they are to read. I like the quick stories that go with the stuff labeled 'trivia.' Gives them substance. Provides some depth and texture. And just makes them more interesting. This book won't be for everyone. You may prefer endless lines of stats. Power to you. Lots of people enjoy those, and there are thousands to choose from. But if you enjoy a bit more, then look at it this way: Those books are just French fries; this book is an order of fries with multiple dipping sauces. (Maybe even a chocolate shake.) In this volume you'll discover: The longest red light in the world An inmate who mailed himself to freedom The person who survived the longest elevator plunge And plenty more. Enjoy!
