The white mealybug, Parlatoria blanchardi is one of the main pests of the date palm Phoenix dactylifera in Tunisia. This work aims at studying the ecobiology of the white mealybug according to the type of management of the oasis (maintenance, irrigation) in the region of Tozeur, as well as the evaluation of the biotic stress that this insect triggers at the level of the leaflets of the palm tree and finally to test the effectiveness of a chemical control trial against this pest.
