It has been suggested that water pollution is the leading worldwide cause of deaths and diseases and that it accounts for the deaths of more than 14,000 people daily,About one third of the total water pollution in India is present comes in the form of industrial effluent discharge, solid wastes and other hazardous wastes, However, this is not the case with smaller scale industries, those of which cannot afford enormous investments in pollution control equipmentas their profit margin is very narrow. As a result there is sufficient evidence available related to the mismanagement of industrial wastes.
