The present study was pertaining to the selection of best solvent system in the isolation of the bioactive substances present in the selected plant of study as well as synthesis and preparation of biomaterials (Nanocapsules and Nanofilm) forming a novel nanocapsulate drug delivery system to improve the efficacy of the active plant metabolites. Despite having several therapeutic benefits, the tested plant species, Hydrocotyle sibthorpiodes for the above study showed lesser bioefficacy towards delivering the targeted compound into the site of action due to their reduced bioavailability and poor accessibility. Furthermore, the essential constituents of the plant have been rarely used with other active constituents of either the same plant or different plant due to their incompatibility resulting in undesirable properties. The development of the nanotechnological strategies are attempted to increase the potentiality of the active compounds in the same formulation thereby allowing thechange of the substance's properties and behavior in the biological environment.
