Dr. R. Jayabalan is actively working on various aspects of kombucha tea and tea fungus for more than a decade. At present, he is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Life Science, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha, India and concentrating on synbiotic products and bioethanol production using saline based systems.
