In this book, the nutritive constituents of the seeds of Monodora tenuifolia is reported and toxicity study carried out on the flavonoid rich fraction of the aqueous-alcoholic seed extract in rats administered different concentrations of the extract using standard procedures is also presented. The investigated effect of the flavonoid rich fraction on behavioural parameters and oxidative damage in rats stressed by forced swim test is also presented.

Ekeanyanwu, C.R is a lecturer in Biochemistry at Novena University Ogume in Delta State, Nigeria. He has taught Biochemistry to different classes and levels of students. He is well published in local and International journals and has also co-authored/authored some books amongst them is Nutritional Pharmacology of Dietary Phytochemicals.
