Sterols and minerals has been isolated from this plant. The pharmacological properties based on the scientific research, claimed as antibacterial, antiulcerogenic. The present study is based on the evaluation of preliminary phytochemical, antimicrobial, antioxidant and anticancer activities of Wrightia tinctoria. The components from Wrightia tinctoria were subjected to phytochemical screening tests by using standard procedures. The results suggest that the Wrightia tinctoria has potential of antioxidant and antitumor activity that support the ethno pharmacological uses of this plant. The remarkable activity showed by the plant could be attributed to the synergic effect of the active compounds present in it.
