Chapredi Reserve Forest is located in the northern direction of the Kachchh District. During the present investigation a total of 12 woody plant species have been reported from the Chapredi RF of Bhuj Takula. Among the recorded 12 woody species, 5 are tree and 7 belong to the shrub life form. The Mixed thorn forest represents the highest woody species diversity followed by the Acacia forest. The Prosopis forest represents the lowest woody species diversity in the Chapredi RF.Mammals of the Chapredi RF were studied in two sites with two seasons. Based on direct sightings and indirect evidences, a total of 9 mammal species belonging to 8 families and 9 genera were recorded. 540 indirect evidences of 9 species were recorded. Four species of herbivores, two species of carnivores, one species of granivores and one species of each omnivores and frugivores recorded.

He obtained M.Sc. and M.Phil (Animal Science) from the Saurashtra University, Rajkot and done his Ph. D in Zoology (Ornithology) from KSKV Kachchh University, Bhuj-Kachchh, Gujarat. He has 10 year research experience. He is working as scientist in Terrestrial Ecology Division, Gujarat Institute of Desert Ecology, Bhuj-Kachchh, Gujarat-India.
