The correlation of insect pests of cabbage with weather parameters indicated that these factors are important in regulating the population of insect pests of cabbage in the field conditions. The incubation period, larval and pupal periods of Diamond back moth were observed as 2.4±0.6 and 5.6±0.65 days respectively. The adults longitivity was 7-8 days. Total life cycle ranged from 21-24 days. Bioefficacy of certain indigenous and chemical insecticides showed that all the treatments were found significantly superior over control in reducing Diamond back moth population. All the treatments Quinalphos 0.05% proved be best followed by Dichlorvos 0.05% concentration in controlling test insect under the laboratory and field conditions. Above all it was inferred that effects of treatment obtained by combination were much closer to the effects obtained by chemical along with the least effective indigenous products gave complete management of the test insect pests.
