The "Hualo" Leptodactylus pentadactylus after a process of breeding in controlled environments, can be used not only in the production of frog legs for human consumption, as it has been shown that the meat has a high content of protein and calories, as well as an adequate percentage of fats and carbohydrates, making it suitable for the preparation of sausages and smoked products; Frog meal can be obtained from the bones and viscera; the skin can be tanned and is useful in the preparation of different manufactured products (Sicchar et al, 1990); all these derivatives can be marketed on the foreign market.
