With this research it has been possible to analyze the current situation and the various bioethical dilemmas of in vitro fertilization and surrogacy in Mexico and in some countries of the world. Likewise, I have been able to highlight the importance of addressing these two phenomena -the product of biotechnological progress and development- from a secular perspective, free of religious dogmas with a plural approach to the different morals within modern democratic societies. Ana Violeta Trevizo is docente en doctor in de gezondheidswetenschappen met een specialisatie in bio-ethiek van de Nationale Autonome Universiteit van Mexico. Haar belangrijkste onderzoekslijn is bio-ethiek en voortplanting. Ze is hoogleraar bio-ethiek in de postdoctorale opleiding van Gezondheidsorganisaties en oprichter van de start-up @vitadecisions.
