Born in 1965, M.A. Baset Mia is a Professor in the department of Crop Botany, Faculty of Agriculture, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur, Bangladesh. He obtained Ph. D. degree from the University Putra Malaysia in 2002.
