Wossenu has MSc. in Mechanical Engineering from The Royal Institute of Technology of Sweden and BSc. in Physics from the University of Asmara. He is the former Director of Alternative Energy Technology Promotion Directorate and the Executive Secretary for The Rural Electrification Fund Secretariats of the Ministry of Water and Energy of Ethiopia.
