Computer Science approaches (software, database, management systems) are powerful tools to boost research. Here they are applied to metabolic modelling in infections as well as health care management. Starting from a comparative analysis this research shows own steps and examples towards improvement in metabolic flux analysis (MFA) software and health care data management (HCDM). Zeeshan Ahmed is a PhD student in MUSTER research group inUCD,Ireland. He received his BS in Computer Science fromUniversity of Karachi, Pakistan. He wrote this thesis as part ofhis MS in Language and Communication Technologies in Universityof Nancy, France and Charles University of Prague, CzechRepublic. He was Erasmus Scholar in this course.
