Prof. i. R. Wolfgang Alt lehrte bis 2012 Theoretische Biologie an der Universität Bonn.

Prof. em. Dr. Klaus Peter Sauer hatte bis 2008 den Lehrstuhl für Zoologie und Ökologie der Universität Bonn inne und leitete das Institut für Evolutionsbiologie.
