Véronique Migonney is Full Professor of chemistry and biomaterials at the University of Paris 13 in France. She has been responsible for the Masters Degree in "Health Engineering and Biomaterials" for more than 10 years and heads the CNRS research laboratory "Chemistry, Structures and Properties of Biomaterials and Therapeutic Agents". Her research interests concern Biomaterials Chemistry (bioactive polymer synthesis and grafting onto various polymer and metallic surfaces), Mechanism of the Host Response (cell and bacteria) to Bioactive Surfaces, Functionalization of Joint Prostheses (artificial ligament, hip prosthesis) and the induced in vivo host response. In 2012 she was elected to join the highly esteemed International College of Fellows in Biomaterials Science and Engineering from the International Union of Societies for Biomaterials Science and Engineering.
