What kinds of sufferings, problems and challenges faced by rural women to receive biomedicine and to safe from diseases and illnesses, have been examined. How some inflexible aspects of biomedicine in rural hospital and clinics affect the observed women¿s physical and psychological health have been discussed. How the observed rural women face the financial challenges at home and in hospital when they receive biomedicine have clearly been highlighted. The experiences of the rural women on biomedicine and also the beneficial alternative treatment services they adopt to avoid illness have been interpreted.
