The book contains a study and experimental findings of bioremediation of heavy metal pollutant: Arsenic. The investigation was done under the primary objective of removal of recalcitrant pollutants which includes heavy metals. The gloomy effects of heavy metals on living beings have been eye catching from past few decades which become an inspiration of presented work. Bioremediation approach of decontamination of heavy metal pollutants was developed and having benefits over other physico- chemical methods as it is very economic and effective approach. The basic concept of bioremediation is having beauty of simplicity which involves use of microorganisms for removal of pollutant via different means. Present book focus on standardization of different approaches of Arsenic remediation by microbial cells. Microbial isolates were analyzed for their potential to tolerate high heavy metal concentrations from polluted soil and water. They were characterized and were adapted to resist high heavy metal concentration which was followed by standardization of different parameters influencing bioremediation.
