Tariq Ahmad Dar, PhD, is working as Assistant Professor at Sri Pratap College; Srinagar affiliated with Cluster University Srinagar, India. He is working on the different aspects of the effects of plant growth regulators, mineral nutrients, nanoparticles, and marine polysaccharides on the growth, physiology, and secondary metabolite production of medicinal and aromatic plants. He has published his research in journals of international repute and has about 15 publications to his credit to date. He has presented his work at various national and international conferences as well. Dr. Dar has qualified several competitive exams, including CSIR-NET, JKSET, and GATE (life sciences) and has been actively engaged in the teaching of plant physiology, biodiversity, plant ecology and taxonomy, cell and molecular biology, crop genetics, and plant breeding for the last six years. He earned his master's degree (MSc) at the University of Kashmir, Srinagar, and doctorate degree (PhD) in Botany (Plant Physiology) at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. Bilal Ahmad, PhD, is working as an Assistant Professor in the Higher Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir, and is currently posted at the Government Degree College for Women, Pulwama, affiliated with the University of Kashmir, Srinagar, India. He formerly worked as a lecturer at the Govt. Gandhi Memorial College; University of Jammu and Government Degree College for Women, Sopore; and University of Kashmir, India. Dr. Ahmad has more than four years of teaching experience in plant physiology, plant biochemistry, plant molecular biology, medicinal plant research, plant taxonomy, plant embryology and eco-physiology. He has studied the influence of various plant growth promoters, radiation-processed polysaccharides, nanoparticles, and heavy metals and metalloids on different medicinal plants. He is the recipient of several awards at both international and national conferences and has reviewed various research articles for journals that include Journal of Hazardous Materials, Photosynthetica, etc. To date, Dr. Ahmad has authored 40 research publications in high-impact factor international journals and edited volumes of various books with international publishers. He earned his doctorate (Botany; specialization in Advanced Plant Physiology) at Aligarh Muslim University, Uttar Pradesh, India. Khalid Rehman Hakeem, PhD, is Professor at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He is currently the Head (Plant Biotechnology Research Unit) at Princess Dr. Najlaa Bint Saud Al Saud Center for Distinguished Research in Biotech, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah. He is also a visiting professor at Daffodil International University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was formerly affiliated with the University of Kashmir, Srinagar, India; Universiti Putra Malaysia, Selangor; Fatih Universiti, Istanbul, Turkey; as well as at Jinan University, Guangzhou, China. Prof. Hakeem has more than 14 years of teaching and research experience in plant eco-physiology, biotechnology and molecular biology, medicinal plant research, plant-microbe-soil interactions as well as in environmental studies. He is the recipient of several fellowships at both national and international levels. He was recently elected as a fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, London. Currently, he is involved with several international research projects with different government organizations. To date, he has authored and edited more than 95 books with international publishers and has published over 185 research publications in peer-reviewed international journals and 80 book chapters. He is serving as an editorial board member and reviewer of several high impact international scientific journals and is on the advisory board of Cambridge Scholars Publishing, UK. He is also the fellow and/or member of the Plantae group from the American Society of Plant Biologists, World Academy of Science, International Society for Development and Sustainability, Japan, and Asian Federation of Biotechnology, Korea. He has been listed in Marquis Who's Who in the World, since 2014-2021. Currently, he is engaged in studying the plant processes at eco-physiological as well as molecular levels. He completed his PhD (botany; specialization in Plant Ecophysiology and Molecular Biology) from Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, India.
