Stroke, also known as cerebral, is one of the main causes of death from chronic non-communicable diseases among cardiovascular diseases in the world. The objective of this work is to present an integrative review of the scientific literature about the risk factors of stroke in young adults, through publications in journals based on the search sources constituted by electronic resources. Among the main contributions of the referred study for the elaboration of this work, the need to understand the main risk factors of stroke in young adults is highlighted, so that there is a construction of evaluation instruments and intervention models for the prevention of stroke in young adults. The need to establish the production of instruments adapted and validated for the Brazilian context, in addition to new studies that investigate the international instruments, their assumptions, validation and application in various cultural contexts. We hope that all readers can contribute withhis criticisms that future editions are stillbetter.
