Born on June 11, 1897, in the United Provinces (Uttar Pradesh), the great revolutionary Ram Prasad Bismil is one of the brave fighters of the Indian freedom struggle. He had not only closely observed the freedom movement but also lived it, and for this he sacrificed his life. He was hanged at Gorakhpur Jail on December 19, 1927, for his revolutionary activities.
