Helen Iles is a Western Australian author with many years' experience teaching creative writing and mentoring new writers, both through writing courses and through The Society of Women Writers WA organisation, which she has chaired for over ten years. With a long association with emergency services, Helen often worked alongside Police and other services during land searches for missing people, as well as participating in forensic searches. Her love of travel has taken her across America many times, where, on her first trip travelling in an RV, she found God's Country, Virginia, and there set this novel.
