Autorenporträt
Sophia Canine is an eighteen-year-old graduate from Lake Orion High School in Michigan. She is attending Michigan State University to begin her studies in Criminal Justice. Sophia was in a near fatal car accident on March 8, 2018. She was T-boned at 50 miles per hour on her driver's side, suffering over twelve fractures and a concussion. She was taken to McLaren Trauma Center where she stayed in the ICU for two days and in the hospital for a week. During this time, she endured excruciating pain and was unable to walk for two months. Being seventeen at the time, an event like this forced her to look within herself for a deeper strength. Through this journey to recovery, Sophia began to appreciate life in a whole new way. She uses her writing as a foundation for growth through hardships and looks to inspire people to dig deep to find their strength. Sophia is the youngest of five siblings and is the daughter of Dr John and Nanci Canine.
