Marquita Goodluck, a mother and breast cancer survivor, turned to children's book writing as a way to comfort her family during challenging times. Inspired by her own experiences, she created "I'll be there every day, but in a different kind of way!" to help her children understand and cope with the potential loss of a loved one, particularly as her grandmother-in-law entered a nursing home. The book, a heartwarming tribute to family and resilience, was born from her desire to provide peace and comfort.Later, when Marquita was diagnosed with breast cancer, she faced a new challenge. Determined to help her children understand and navigate this difficult journey, she wrote "BK's Mommy Has Breast Cancer." This heartfelt book offers hope and inspiration, providing children with a tool to process their emotions and find strength during their parent's battle with cancer.
