Thomas Feibel (born 1962) is the leading journalist on children and computers in Germany. The media expert heads the Office for Children's Media in Berlin and publishes for Spiegel.de, Stiftung Warentest, c't, Tagesspiegel, Stafette, Dein Spiegel and many others. He works for Deutschlandradio, WDR and RBB television. In 1995, he established the Feibel mice as a recognized seal of approval for good children's software. Since 2002 he has been awarding the German children's software prize TOMMI. Feibel also writes books for children and young people, which often deal with topics such as cyberbullying, social networks and growing up in the digital world. To this end, he gives readings and lectures, organizes workshops and seminars. In 2014, Thomas Feibel was awarded the Karl Preusker Medal by Bibliothek & Information Deutschland (BID) for his work on promoting reading and communicating electronic media for children and young people. He lives in Berlin.
