Autorenporträt

Jo Morey is a Faber alumnus who has been mentored by the Women's Prize shortlisted author Jill Dawson and author Chloe Timms via the Curtis Brown Disability Breakthrough Mentoring Programme. Jo suffers from a hearing impairment and constant tinnitus and wanted to explore hearing loss and the remoteness it can make one feel through her fiction. Her debut novel was awarded the 2023 Claire Mannion Literary Endeavour Prize, was highly commended in the Cheshire Novel prize, and shortlisted for the Primadonna and Plaza First Pages Awards.
