Stuart Sime is Head of Department of the academic programmes at City Law School, University of London, where he has taught civil litigation, company law, international commercial arbitration and mediation. He was a practising barrister until 2005. In his early career, he spent a number of years in the litigation department of the Treasury Solicitor's Office. He is the author of A Practical Approach to Civil Procedure and co-author of A Practical Approach to ADR, the Jackson ADR Handbook and Blackstone's Guide to the Civil Justice Reforms 2013. Derek French is co-author of Blackstone's Guide to the Civil Justice Reforms 2013 and author of various works including: Mayson, French and Ryan on Company Law; Applications to Wind Up Companies; Model Articles of Association for Companies; and How to Cite Legal Authorities. He is editor of Blackstone's Statutes on Company Law and has also written on insolvency law, accountancy and management.
