Tony was the first Caribbean recipient of a First Class Honours Degree in Journalism from Carleton University, Ottawa, in 1974 and was a Hubert Humprey Fellow in Planning and Resource Management at Boston University. He also did Message Design at Stanford University. Five years ago, Tony started "My Trinidad: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow", the only online literary magazine in the Caribbean. A collection of his articles, "Tony Deyal Was Last Seen" was published last year and this year he will publish his Cricket columns as "Blades of Grass and Glory."
