Fisher Zulkarnain obtained his Ph.D in the field of Islamic Political Thought from National University of Malaysia (2002), now he is a lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Political Science, State Islamic University (UIN) Bandung, Indonesia. His research interest concerning the issue of Islam and democracy.
