Gurleen Ahluwalia tem doutoramento em Ensino da Língua Inglesa. Para além de ter uma experiência de ensino de 14 anos, está associada a vários organismos nacionais e internacionais. Actualmente, trabalha como professora assistente no University College, Ghanaur, uma faculdade constituinte da Universidade de Punjabi, Patiala.
