If anyone deserves a long weekend of relaxing in California wine country, it's Jessica 'JJ' Jansen and her partner, Kristyn Reynolds. If anyone deserves a long weekend of relaxing in California wine country, it's Jessica 'JJ' Jansen and her partner, Kristyn Reynolds. While barely escaping with their lives when bringing down the demented killers behind the infamous Murder Game, only to be hunted by an equally deranged killer named Brookes Williamson while serving as producers and screenwriters on the film adaptation of the Murder Game case, they more than earned some time to relax and reconnect. And what better place to get away from it all than Napa, with its world class wineries, restaurants, and spas. A place where you can escape from the real world and all of its problems. At least, that is, until those bad things find you. A body discovered in bucolic Yountville, barely a quarter mile from where JJ and Kristyn are staying, doesn't trigger any alarms for them since they're in full vacation mode and not following the news or social media. It's only when they're approached by an important wine industry official who informs them that this isn't the first murder in the state's top wine-producing regions that their interest is piqued. What's more, he's convinced that these murders, which have stretched over hundreds of miles and nearly two years, are the work of the same person. Fearing that the police have failed to connect these far-flung murders and are instead focusing on the migrant farm worker community as prime suspects in each case, he hires JJ and Kristyn to investigate. They hadn't been prepared to launch Supersleuth Investigations so soon, but fate has a way of changing the best-laid plans. They soon discover the one common thread that connects all the victims and confirms their hunch that these murders are the work of a serial killer: each is missing one or more fingers, forcing them to race against time to decipher the killer's cryptic message. Is it revenge? Ritual? Or something far more sinister? JJ and Kristyn follow a twisted trail of clues, risking their lives to unmask a vicious serial killer that seems to choose their victims and the time and place of the murders at random. But in this lovely little slice of paradise, danger lurks around every corner. And sometimes, even the most beautiful and serene landscapes harbor the deadliest secrets.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
I've spent my entire career in the technology industry, and while that may seem like it's a million miles away from writing fiction, it was actually a job that I had back in ancient times (a.k.a, the 90's) that sparked my interest. At the time I was working for a Fortune 10 company providing pre-sales technical support to our (thousands) of sales people around the globe, and one of my team's responsibilities was producing a bi-monthly newsletter. This was not the typical little 2-3 page newsletter: each issue was between 36-56 pages. Writing and co-editing articles for this newsletter quickly became my favorite part of the job, and everything else quickly started to feel like an interruption of my writing. Each issue was distributed to approximately 3,000 people, and it was consistently recognized and awarded for its excellence.Once the writing bug was unleashed, I wanted to write a full-length novel and finally accomplished that goal in 2008 when I wrote and published 'Let the Truth Be Told', a political-action thriller that readers compared to David Baldacci, Robert Ludlum, Brad Thor, and Tom Clancy. I was very happy with the reviews and resultant sales, not to mention the learning opportunities as I made my first foray into the book world.I currently reside in Williamsburg, VA and I'm a member of James River Writers (Richmond, VA) and actively participate in their workshops and learning activities to improve my writing and industry knowledge. I continue to pursue my writing and am passionate about creating more stories and characters, and I'm currently working on the outlines for two new manuscripts. My current release, 'The Murder Game', is the first in a series of 3 or more crime/police/detective mysteries that should appeal to fans of David Baldacci, James Patterson, Lincoln Child, J.D. Robb, and others. Book #2 in the series, 'Glitz. Glamour. Murder.' is scheduled for release in Summer 2023. Stay tuned!
