Blowing Out the Darkness presents a new look at the management of emotional issues. Anger and rage are sometimes the most cleansing of emotions, often the most dangerous. Mixed with issues of power, these emotions fuel family violation as well as other problems. Yet the resolving of authentic emotions, the sensing and living of our own truths, is one of the most satisfying and cleansing aspects of life, be it authentic rage, sadness or joy. This is a practical book, divided into two sections. The first is a description of Dave's Anger Management program, a 17-hour workshop, with numerous concepts and exercises. The second is a philosophical exploration of many issues peripheral to anger management: authenticity, romance and marriage, parenting, spirituality, and much more. Be prepared to be surprised at its depth and comprehension.

A variety of relationships and marriages have also taught him much about the joys and struggles of relationship, both what works and what doesn't. He is the father of three adult children. He now lives in West Vancouver with his wife. He is deeply concerned about climate change, especially the underlying emotional issues that fuel these problems. He cares deeply about the duplicity of our culture, and the need for cultural maturation. Anyone who wants more details of Dave's life is free to ask. He is generally known for his honest answers, and does not hide behind a professional masque.
