Bluetooth. Von Nathan J. Muller, Mitp-Verlag, 425 Seiten, 34,95 Euro. Der Kurzstreckenfunk Bluetooth kommt in diesem Jahr endlich in Fahrt. Die ersten Headsets für das drahtlose Telefonieren sind ebenso erhältlich wie Datenadapter und blauzähnige Handys. Dieses Buch beschreibt auf den ersten 70 Seiten grundsätzlich die Vorzüge und Einsatzmöglichkeiten der neuen Technik. Alles andere danach - die Grundlagen, die Bluetooth-Protokollarchitektur, die Verbindungssteuerung und die Bluetooth-Profile - ist sehr technisch gehalten und richtet sich an den Programmierer oder Entwickler. Das Buch ist damit zugleich ein wertvolles Nachschlagewerk. Einzelne Bluetooth-Produkte bleiben aber folglich außen vor. (misp.)
