Kahn Professor of Architecture at Yale University; the author of a great number of books and articles, notably Giuseppe Terragni: Transformations, Decompositions, Critiques, a study of the Italian rationalist architect that begins to define an idea of the critical in architecture; and the subject of many others, including Cities of Artificial Excavation: The Work of Peter Eisenman, 1978-1988.
