Reem Khamis is an Assistant Professor of management and finance at the University College of Bahrain. Dr. Reem was awarded her Ph.D. from Brunel University London in 2020 in "board gender diversity and firm performance" and her MBA degree from Ahlia University, Bahrain. She received the Sharjah Award for the best Ph.D. thesis in the Arab world and the Al Owais Award for the best research about the United Arab Emirates. Dr. Reem's research interest areas are "business gender studies", "Strategy and entrepreneurship" and firm performance. She serves as guest editor in the Strategic Marketing journal and has edited numerous books for Springer. Amina Mohamed Buallay is the Acting Director of Accreditation and Licensing at the higher education council, in Bahrain. She has been the Chief of Scientific Research Development from 2018 to 2022 and the Head of ¿Administration and Financial Services from 2014 to 2018. Dr. Buallay received her Ph.D. in management studies (sustainabilityreporting) from Brunel University, London; a Master's in ¿business administration from Ahlia University; Post ¿Graduate Diploma degree in Business Education and a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Bahrain. Dr. Buallay was awarded six international and regional research prizes; the Sharjah Award for the Best Doctoral Dissertations in the Administrative Sciences in the Arab Region, 2021, UAE; ICAI International Research Awards (Commendable Research Paper) and (Best Research Paper), 2021, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ¿India; Kondo Research Prize, 2020, Innovation Arabia, ¿UAE; the University ¿of Sharjah Award for Islamic Economy Research, 2019, The Sharjah Islamic Centre for Economy and Finance Studies, UAE. OAPEC Award for Scientific Research¿- Petroleum and Energy Related Economic Research¿, 2018, Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), Kuwait¿¿.¿ Dr. Buallay is a member of the editorial advisory board of the Journal of Business and Socio-Economic Development. Guest Editor of special issues in two journals: Competitiveness Review-Journal and Measuring Business Excellence (Emerald Publishing). She is the author of many publications in international journals that discussed several accounting, financial and economic issues in the area of Intellectual ¿Capital, Corporate Governance, and Sustainability ¿Reporting.
