Autorenporträt
Though Steve Teel has authored four books, this is his first children's book and he already has dreams and drafts in process for five more. He is the author of young adult fiction: Joe Angel The Guardian Games Book 1 and The Difference Maker and author of two non-fiction books: Jesus Christ Movie Star and Jesus Christ All Star. President of Very Bold Ministries, one of Steve's passions is to impact children's lives in a positive way and to be a blessing and encouragement to as many as possible. The message and story of "Bee A Blessing" is close to Steve's heart as many times growing up (and to this day) his mom would encourage him to "Be a blessing" and to think of others who may be more nervous or anxious than him. Like little Bobby Bee, Steve still doesn't always have it completely figured out what it means to be a blessing, but he keeps striving to bless, encourage, serve, and love as many people as possible. He formed the Peanut Butter Bowl in 2016, an annual high school football game in San Antonio between Johnson High School and Brandeis High School to collect peanut butter to help fight weekend hunger for children in greater San Antonio. With two Peanut Butter Bowls completed, they have collected almost 10,000 jars to bless food-insecure kids. With Bobby Bee A Blessing, the author also hopes to impact children in underserved communities with the "Bless Others" program where children will receive the book as a gift. A former youth pastor, Steve met the brilliant middle school student, Shea Stanley, who would grow up to become the illustrator of Bobby Bee A Blessing. Beginning at that young age, Shea collaborated with Steve on comic strips, flyers, and other artwork. Now having brought Bobby Bee and Robby Rabbit to life with their first collaboration, the author and illustrator are planning several more books in the series covering patience, humility, friendship, following instructions, and other important messages for children. Steve also hosts Beacon Radio in San Antonio on AM630, Pine Country Beacon Radio in East Texas on 93.5FM and interviews local, national, and international difference makers weekly. All those opportunities Steve considers great blessings but the biggest blessings in his life are his wife of 29 years, Kris, and wonderful kids: Samantha, Jessica and Jordan Nelson, and David. Shea's biggest blessings are his wife Morgan, daughter Jo, and Stanley Baby on the way. For more information see BobbyBeeABlessing.com and VeryBold.com
