Elsa Cross (Mexico City, 1946) is the author of a very large body of work. Since her collected poems (Poesía completa 1964-2012) appeared, three further titles have been published. A dozen of her books have been published in translation. Her poetry has received a number of awards, in Mexico and elsewhere, and in 2016 she was granted the National Prize for Arts and Literature, the most important such award given in Mexico. This is Elsa Cross' fourth book with Shearsman.
