BONES IN THE SHALLOWS is a collection of poems on themes of drought, climate change, aging, and memory, from eastern Washington State. The material is based on Titus's direct observation of waterless creeks and raging forest fires as global temperatures climb. Excerpts from media articles and scientific papers, and quotes from singers and poets, add a collage aspect to this lyrical expression of the effects of global warming on both ecosystems and the field of individual consciousness.
