Autorenporträt
Jaime Poremba gained inspiration for her first book, Bonjour, Rosie!, from her childhood love of reading, writing, and pen pal-ing. As a child, Jaime had her very own "Grandma-Maude-like" pen pal from Holland. At the time, they were both collectors of Shirley Temple memorabilia, and they remained pen pals for several years. Jaime and her husband, Jake, also love to travel, especially to Europe. She hopes to inspire travel and an appreciation of writing in children. She credits her parents for instilling in her a love of learning. Jaime attended the University of Kansas for her undergraduate education and later earned a master's degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University. She plans to continue her love of writing children's books and will be donating a portion of the proceeds of her book to charities that benefit children and mothers. Jaime and Jake reside in Illinois with their son, Daniel.
