Bonnye Cox is a retired Second Grade school teacher. Her education includes two degrees from the University of Florida: BS in nursing, and Masters in Elementary Education. She worked as a Pediatric nurse for a while and then taught school for 27 years. Twenty fi ve of those years were with Second Grade and she especially loved directing musicals with them. She and her husband live on beautiful Lake Santa Fe in Melrose, Florida. She enjoys living a Christian life and worshipping with the Church of Christ. Her favorite pastime includes: writing, bird watching, biking, eating out with friends, boat riding, canoeing, and she continues to teach children, and direct musicals. Bonnye and her twin sister, Connye, were raised on a farm in Pennsylvania. Her love for children and animals inspired her to write children's books, sharing some of their wonderful farm life experiences. Her first book, "Bonnie and Connie Discover Callie's Secret," portrays their delight and love for cats and kittens, their favorite animals.
